Day 299, Oct. 26: Top 300 Preview

10 Things About
My Top 300 Songs
1. It's the most fun - and time-consuming - blog post I've done yet.
2. It took parts of several days, perhaps five hours total.
3. The oldest songs are two from 1950.
4. The newest is one from 2011.
5. The year with the most (30) is 1972. I was 15 that year.
6. The years with the least (0) are 1951 and 1952.
7. The 1970s had 127, the 2000s 71, the 1980s 40, the 1990s 21,
the 1960s 21 and the 1950s 12.
8. Fleetwood Mac and the Moody Blues led all artists with five songs each. Mac members Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie also had one solo each.
9. The Beatles and six other artists had three each, but add to that Paul McCartney & Wings (3), John Lennon (2)
and George Harrison (2) for 10 total.
10. I am following up with 300 near misses (which won't be quite as detailed, so it won't take as long!)
